Britain guarantees Ukraine support for centuries to come - minister.

The UK Minister for European Affairs, Stephen Doughty, stated that Britain fully supports Ukraine both now and in the future. He also emphasized the need to double the support for Europe and Euro-Atlantic security overall.

He made this statement during a panel discussion at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, as reported by Ukrinform.

This is why we (Britain) are 100% firmly supporting Ukraine not just now, but for the next 100 years. This is why we are working here with our NATO partners and allies... We must double our support not only for Ukraine but also for European and Euro-Atlantic security overall - this is what we are doing

Doughty emphasized that the contest is over the values they are defending.

The minister also noted that Russia's actions represent not only aggression against Ukraine but also hybrid and destabilizing activities that the Russians are conducting on all continents against democracies in general.

He stressed that this has consequences for everyone if the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty are not upheld.
