Employee Reservations Will Not Be Paused During Critical Enterprises Audit.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ivan Havryluk, has learned that employee reservations at critical enterprises will not be paused during the audit of these enterprises. According to the official, the information about the suspension of reservations, spread by the media, does not correspond to reality. The decision to conduct an audit was made due to the sharp increase in the number of reserved individuals. In two years, their number became 540,000, while in a few months this number rose to a million.

Economic Reservation

Economic reservation in Ukraine is a process that allows certain categories of citizens to avoid military service in order to support the country's economy. This system was introduced in wartime to retain qualified workers in critically important sectors. Due to the sharp increase in the number of reserved individuals to a million, the government decided to conduct an audit to assess the criticality of enterprises that support Ukraine's economy. If an enterprise is deemed "non-critical for the state", the reservation may be reconsidered.

The system of economic reservation has become a subject of discussion in society, as it directly impacts the mobilization efforts of the state and economic stability. On the one hand, it provides the necessary workforce for the industry, while on the other hand, it raises questions about the fairness of distributing military duties among citizens.

The latest legislative decision simplifying the conscription procedure was adopted in April 2024. The law prohibits the mobilization of men aged 18 to 25 who are limited in fitness.

It is also worth mentioning that military-bound individuals who have grounds for reservations from mobilization need to undergo a military medical commission.

The application "Reserve+", which displays the status of reservations from mobilization, now has 340,000 records.
