Carbon monoxide poisoning in Chernihiv region: a woman and three children were affected.
According to inkorr.com: A terrible incident occurred in Komarivka, located in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region, related to possible violations of heating stove usage rules. As a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, a 42-year-old woman and her three children were affected. This was reported by Glavkom, referring to data from the State Emergency Service.
Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene, evacuated the victims to a safe place, and handed them over to medical personnel. All the victims were hospitalized in a local hospital for necessary medical assistance.
Condition of the victims and the call from rescuers
Doctors are currently assessing the health condition of the victims. The circumstances of the incident and the causes of the poisoning are being investigated, but specialists preliminarily link this to violations of stove operation. Rescuers address the public:
Dear citizens! Remember the danger of carbon monoxide. It has no smell, taste, or color, but even in small concentrations, it poses a fatal threat to life. Therefore, regularly check heating equipment and ventilation systems.
It is also worth noting that recently in Lviv, on Knyaz Roman Street, nine people, five of whom were children, were poisoned by carbon monoxide and required hospitalization. In Kolomiya, due to a malfunctioning gas boiler, a family of four was affected as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The incident in Komarivka again reminds us of the dangers of carbon monoxide and how crucial it is to adhere to the rules of heating equipment operation. Regular checks of ventilation systems and heating devices can help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
