Part of Ukrainian brigades, including the most combat-ready, has left Kursk – Forbes.

According to Forbes, Ukrainian soldiers are likely leaving the Kursk region. Two weeks ago, attacks halted the movement of dozens of Ukrainian vehicles on the road to Sudzha. Sudzha had been the base for a 10,000-strong Ukrainian grouping in the Kursk region.

According to Ukrainian sources, after two weeks, the majority of Ukrainian units, including the most combat-ready brigades, have already evacuated from Kursk and returned to Ukrainian territory. In August, Ukrainian forces quickly captured significant territory in the Kursk region but were unable to secure strategic positions due to Russian counterattacks and clashes with North Korean armed forces.

Ukrainian military is reported to have held their positions using mine barriers, drones, and artillery to repel attacks. For example, in mid-February, Ukrainian forces attacked the Russian 155th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade. The enemy hit mines and suffered strikes from drones and artillery.

According to DeepState, the Russian army continues to advance in Kursk, with activity concentrated in the eastern part of the region, particularly in the area of Myrnyi and the Zozulivka farm near Kozacha Lopin.
