Zelensky signed a law: recruitment centers have gained access to the Oberg Registry

According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine signed Law No. 14238, which expands the list of bodies that can keep and use the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Service Members, and Reservists. Now, the recruiting centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been added to the Oberg registry.

According to the new changes, the recruiting centers have gained official access to the data of the Oberg registry, whereas previously information had to be transferred through intermediaries, including regional recruitment centers (RRC).

"Recruiting centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are added to the registry. This gives them official access to the data of the registry. Recruitment centers will be able to select candidates for contract service faster and more accurately based on registry data," explained MP Oleksandr Fedienko.

The law also states that access to Oberg will significantly improve the efficiency of attracting citizens to contract service. Thanks to the rapid use of data, recruitment centers will be able to:

  • select candidates for specific positions faster and more accurately;

  • reduce the time spent interacting with military service members and reservists;

  • ensure higher quality management of human resources for defense needs.

In addition, the government of Ukraine has decided to update the procedure for issuing military accounting documents (VAD), which involves a complete transition to electronic format. From now on, all documents will be issued exclusively in electronic form.

Earlier, it was proposed in the Verkhovna Rada to create community and village RRCs, which is part of government bill No. 14320. This could significantly simplify the process of issuing military documents for citizens, increasing the accessibility of services in this area.
