A team of engineers from General Motors impressed the world by covering an incredible distance of 1704 km in the electric pickup Silverado EV on a single battery charge. This is much more than the manufacturer's officially stated range of 710 km. This event not only set a new world record but also showcased the impressive efficiency of the GM vehicle. The engineers' efforts were filled with careful preparation and the use of various technical tricks. They increased tire pressure, removed the spare tire, optimized wheel alignment, and even reduced water consumption. Unfortunately, this record will not be recognized by the Guinness World Records, as GM will not submit it for consideration. In the meantime, Lucid Air Grand Touring remains the champion in preventing shorts.
