Scandal after the fight between Eubank and Benn

According to The Sun: Chris Eubank Jr. sharply accused promoter Eddie Hearn of endangering his life because the ambulance arrived too late after a brutal fight against Conor Benn.

The 35-year-old boxer fought 12 heavy rounds in April against the 28-year-old son of British boxing legend Nigel Benn and had to undergo a difficult weight cut, after which he was in a critical condition due to dehydration.

Eubank claims that his ambulance was blocked for 20 minutes.

Immediately after the fight, Eubank was rushed to the hospital, leaving the loser Benn and promoter Hearn at the press conference.

At this media round, the Benn team stated that Eubank was treated for a broken jaw, although he actually had to spend two nights in the hospital to recover.

Accusations and Hearn's reaction

At the press conference on Wednesday, dedicated to the rematch on November 22, Eubank revisited the controversial situation and made a statement that provoked Hearn's anger.

"After the fight, due to severe dehydration, I had to go to the hospital, and one of my nails fell off. I was in the ambulance, and those D**holes blocked my ambulance for 20 minutes. I was on a stretcher, and they wouldn't let the ambulance go for 20 minutes. In a more serious case, this could have been fatal."

Hearn, surprised by these accusations, urged Eubank to clarify his words so that his lawyers could thoroughly assess the case. He stated:

"Go ahead. This is all being recorded. Absolute nonsense. Who didn't open the gate?"

When asked who blocked the exit, Eubank could not provide a clear answer.

Representatives of the British Boxing Board of Control had not commented on requests from SunSport by 8:00 PM.

Benn, who wore a Manchester City jersey in honor of Ricky Hatton, stated:

"It's hard to get back on your feet after a loss. I want to win at all costs. I've come back, learned, and now you'll see the best version of me in the rematch."

This situation continues to spark much discussion in the boxing world, as Eubank's accusations raise questions about the safety of athletes during and after competitions. Insiders believe such incidents could affect the reputation of the promoter and his partners. The situation definitely requires a thorough investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The rematch between Eubank and Benn promises to be even more exciting, with corresponding expectations from fans of both boxers. The statements of both athletes and their preparations for the meeting will certainly be in the spotlight in the coming months.
