Military recruitment centers can call even those unfit for service: what to do in this case.
According to lawyer Natalia Opolskaya, territorial recruitment centers can summon even those citizens who are considered unfit for service by military medical commissions.
This is possible when data on unfitness or removal from military registration is reflected in the registers. In such cases, a person formally remains obligated to serve and must respond to the call.
Most often, unfitness for service may be due to medical, psychological, or social factors. The decision on fitness or unfitness is made by the military medical commission.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that citizens can pay a fine for failing to appear at the military recruitment center through the online service 'Reserve+'. An interesting question is the sending of military summons by mail from the military recruitment center.
Ukraine continues general mobilization and martial law
Ukraine maintains general mobilization and martial law to prepare its armed forces for possible threats and ensure national security. This means that under a summons, those obligated to serve may be called to Territorial recruitment centers for further conscription. An important topic is the possibility of calling even those who are deemed unfit for service if this data is reflected in special registers.
