Russia prepares new massive attacks: expert names the term and main targets.
According to ТСН: After the night of December 23, when the enemy used hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles, the question arises: was this the peak of Russia's capabilities, or just the beginning of winter terror?
Oleksandr Musiyenko, a serviceman of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and an expert, assessed the threat in his comments.
Forecast for the next 10 days
Despite the record number of launched drones (over 600), there is no significant increase in the enemy's capabilities - forecasts about 'thousands of Shaheds' have not yet been confirmed.
However, it is not time to relax. Musiyenko noted that Russia may gather forces for new attacks in the near future.
“There may be one or two similar attacks within the next week or ten days, targeting energy facilities,” the military warned.
Why Putin needs this right now
The expert identifies three main reasons for the enemy's activation:
Weather: The Russians expected a cold snap to overload our energy system as much as possible.
Psychological pressure: The Kremlin aims to 'ruin Christmas for people' and sow panic ahead of the holidays.
Demonstration of strength: Moscow needs to show the West and its audience that they 'still have gunpowder in the flasks', despite sanctions and losses.
Despite the tense situation, the expert emphasizes that Russia's current actions are more of an intimidation attempt than a sign of a strategic breakthrough in the war.
What happened that night
Recall that on the night of December 23, the enemy launched a combined strike. According to the Air Force, the Russians launched 673 means of air attack, including 38 air and ground-based missiles (35 cruise and 3 aeroballistic 'Kinzhal' X-47M2). The air defense destroyed or suppressed 621 targets.
At least 13 regions were hit, with the most damage to the energy sector in the western part of the country. A child was killed in Zhytomyr Oblast.
In light of recent events, it is essential to remain vigilant. Despite the fact that we do not currently observe a significant increase in attacks, the enemy may prepare new attempts at destabilization. It is quite possible that in the coming days we will witness new attacks that may significantly impact the energy situation in the country. Therefore, it is necessary to be prepared for potential challenges and react accordingly.
