Gas Price Freeze Extended Through 2027: What Ukrainian Households Will Pay.
Ukraine's Household Gas Tariff from July 1, 2026
According to Novyny.live: Starting July 1, 2026, Ukraine will keep its residential gas tariff unchanged at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. This rate, known as the 'Fixed' tariff, will remain in effect at least until April 30, 2027. Additionally, gas delivery charges will stay the same for 98% of household consumers—those served by GC 'Naftogaz of Ukraine'.
Certainty for Consumers
The 'Fixed' tariff provides consumers with stability, as the price of gas will not fluctuate over the next two years. This allows households to plan their utility expenses based on a predictable rate. The calculation period for the gas year runs from October 1 to September 30, which is key for those wanting to manage their spending.
For gas delivery, the monthly fee is determined by consumption from the previous gas year. This helps consumers understand how their delivery costs may evolve. Both the fixed gas tariff and stable delivery charges are crucial for Ukrainian households seeking financial predictability.
Locking in a fixed gas tariff until 2027 signals the government's commitment to shielding citizens from volatility amid economic uncertainty.
This move could also support social policy, as stable utility costs may ease the financial burden on families. With rising prices for other energy sources and goods, a steady gas tariff can help maintain living standards for Ukrainians.
