Chicken Egg Prices in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Prices for chicken eggs at Ukrainian supermarkets keep falling. As of June 16, 2026, the average cost of a pack of C1 category eggs has dipped under 70 UAH. Shoppers can now find eggs at different price points depending on the retailer.
The average price for a C1 egg pack ranges from 62.60 to 68.36 UAH. Just ten days earlier, the same pack cost 73.66 UAH, marking a noticeable decline. The product's consumer price index now stands at 91.40%, with eggs becoming 8.60% cheaper compared to May.
Egg Pack Prices by Supermarket Chain
As of June 16, here is what an egg pack costs at various chains:
- Varus: 49.90 UAH (39.90 UAH with discount)
- ATB: 50.90 UAH (was 55.80 UAH)
- Novus: 55.49 UAH (was 55.99 UAH)
- Silpo: 52.49 UAH (was 58.79 UAH)
- Fora: 59.90 UAH (51.90 UAH with discount)
- Auchan: 61 UAH (was 66.10 UAH)
- Metro: 65 UAH (was 75 UAH)
- MegaMarket: 67 UAH (was 75 UAH)
The price per dozen also varies: at Varus, each egg costs 2.49 UAH; at Auchan, 2.70 UAH; at Fora, 3.32 UAH; and at ATB, 3.55 UAH as of June 15. Note that when selecting in-store pickup at Silpo, a service fee of 9 UAH applies.
Consumers are now witnessing a downward trend in chicken egg prices, which could provide some relief to household budgets.
This drop in egg prices reflects a broader pattern in Ukraine's food market, where shoppers may see further reductions on other items. Possible drivers include increased production, lower transportation costs, or a stabilizing regional economy.
