Prices for potatoes and oil are soaring: experts advise to stock up.
Price forecasts for potatoes and sunflower oil
According to inkorr.com: Experts are confident that the price of potatoes and sunflower oil will rise, which will directly affect the financial situation of Ukrainians. Therefore, it is advisable to prepare supplies in advance to avoid additional expenses.
According to data from 'ProAgro Group', the cost of potatoes may reach 9-11 hryvnias per kilogram. Analysts point to several reasons for this increase: a reduction in planting areas and unfavorable weather conditions for agriculture. Additionally, it is expected that the price of sunflower oil may rise to 100 hryvnias per liter.
The head of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, Taras Bashtannyk, notes that this has been influenced by the reduction of sown areas, rising fuel and transportation costs, as well as the whims of the weather.
Market expectations
Specialists believe that the situation regarding rising prices may improve after the new harvest is gathered in October-November. However, it is important to keep a close eye on store promotions and create supplies at old prices.
Thus, the rise in prices for potatoes and sunflower oil is caused by a reduction in sown areas, unfavorable weather conditions, and other factors. Experts advise to prepare in advance, as the price increase may continue until the new harvest is gathered in the fall.
