Record Brazilian Harvest Drives Coffee Prices Down

According to TSN.ua: Forecasts of a record coffee harvest in Brazil have pushed prices to their lowest point in five months. In London, arabica futures have fallen to $3.06 per pound. Brazil's coffee production for 2026 is projected to reach 66.2 million bags, a 17% increase from the previous year. Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer, so its harvest size has a direct impact on global pricing.

This output consists of 44.1 million bags of arabica beans and 22.1 million bags of robusta. Such high production levels are poised to significantly influence the global coffee market, affecting both supply and prices. Supporting market stability, arabica inventories at the ICE exchange stood at 461,000 bags in January. Meanwhile, robusta stockpiles grew from 4,012 lots in December to over 4,600 by the end of January.

Market Outlook for Coffee in Ukraine

The recovery of exchange inventories could positively contribute to lower prices. Ukrainian consumers may see changes in pricing as the global decline in coffee costs impacts the domestic market. If the trend of increased Brazilian production continues, Ukraine could experience stable coffee prices in the coming months.

The price drop, driven by Brazil's record output, could have lasting effects on the market. As a leading global producer, Brazil's harvest influences not just local prices but worldwide supply and demand trends. Consumers in Ukraine can monitor these developments and be prepared for potential price adjustments in the near future.
