EU Disburses €2.8 Billion to Ukraine Under Seventh Ukraine Facility Payment.
European Union’s Financial Support to Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: The European Union has released its seventh tranche of funding under the Ukraine Facility program, totaling €2.8 billion. This payment fulfills part of the EU’s commitment to assist Ukraine during a challenging period, with €2.6 billion deposited into the state budget.
Under the Ukraine Facility initiative, total support provided to Ukraine has now exceeded €29.4 billion. Ukraine has met 11 benchmarks outlined in the Ukraine Plan, demonstrating progress in reforming state institutions and implementing necessary changes. As of late May 2026, 86 measures specified in this plan have been carried out.
Deepening Cooperation Between Ukraine and the EU
Yulia Svyrydenko stated: 'This is already the seventh tranche under the Ukraine Facility program.'
Additionally, the Verkhovna Rada has ratified a credit agreement with the EU for €90 billion in funding, covering the 2026–2027 period. These steps underscore the active collaboration between Ukraine and the European Union, aimed at ensuring stability and development in the country.
The receipt of this latest funding tranche highlights the critical role of international support for Ukraine amid the economic challenges it faces.
