Vegetable Prices Are Falling: How Much Cucumbers and Tomatoes Cost in Supermarkets.
Ukrainians can rejoice, as the prices of cucumbers and tomatoes in the country continue to fall. According to the Minfin portal, the prices of cucumbers and tomatoes in June vary depending on the variety and the chain of stores. However, in general, compared to the previous month, the prices for greens have noticeably decreased.
Currently, regular cucumbers can be purchased at an average price of 54.99 UAH per kilogram. Smooth cucumbers are slightly more expensive - about 61.23 UAH per kilogram. At Auchan, the price is higher, but in Metro and Megamarket, you can find cheaper options.
Short-fruited cucumbers cost an average of 54.80 UAH per kilogram. The most expensive are the cucumbers of the Estafeta variety, whose price can reach even 104.40 UAH per kilogram. The price of tomatoes also varies depending on the store and the variety, but on average, it can be said that the prices for red and pink tomatoes have also decreased compared to the previous period.
Declining Vegetable Prices - Good News for Ukrainians
In short, the prices of cucumbers and tomatoes in Ukraine are falling, which is good news for consumers and buyers in the market. The decrease in prices may be related to an increase in the supply of goods or other factors, but mainly this makes vegetables more affordable for Ukrainians.
