In October, fuel prices in Ukraine are expected to rise sharply: the reason has been named.
According to inkorr.com: Analysts predict that fuel prices at gas stations may rise in October. This information was provided by experts from the consulting group 'A-95' on the ZN.UA website.
European Union Sanctions
The European Union plans to expand sanctions that will prohibit the import of petroleum products from Russian raw materials to other countries starting in 2026. This initiative will primarily affect India and may complicate fuel supplies to Europe.
The figures are striking: India supplied nearly 15 million tons of diesel fuel to Europe in 2025, which accounts for more than half of its exports.
Alternative Supply Sources
Europe will need to look for new fuel supply sources, for example, increasing imports from America. It is important to accurately determine the origin of petroleum products, as molecules are not always easily identifiable.
'You won't see Kremlin molecules in the chromatograph,' analysts noted.
Thus, fuel prices may rise in October due to the expansion of EU sanctions, and Europe will have to seek alternative supply sources to compensate for the losses.
