Fuel Costs Climb in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: Fuel prices in Odesa have continued their upward trend as of March 5, 2026, with diesel and premium-grade gasoline seeing the most significant increases. The cost of automotive fuel varies considerably across different filling stations.
- At WOG stations, the price for both Euro 5 diesel fuel and Euro 5 A-95 gasoline is 69.49 UAH per liter.
- At OKKO stations, Euro standard A-95 gasoline has reached 70.99 UAH per liter, while Pulls diesel fuel is selling for 73.99 UAH per liter.
- Ukrnafta stations are offering 95 Energy gasoline for 71.99 UAH per liter, with diesel fuel priced at 68.99 UAH per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average fuel prices across the Odesa region stand at 72.23 UAH per liter for premium A-95 gasoline and 68.91 UAH per liter for diesel. These figures point to a broader regional trend of rising fuel costs. This surge is part of a wider pattern affecting Ukraine's economy, heavily reliant on imported energy.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Ukraine's Antimonopoly Committee, emphasized that the Ukrainian market is entirely dependent on imported petroleum products. He also noted that filling stations have three days to justify the reasons for their price hikes.
Overall, the rising fuel prices in Odesa are causing concern among drivers and consumers, who hope for market stabilization in the near future.
The situation in Odesa's fuel market mirrors nationwide trends tied to petroleum product imports and global oil price fluctuations. The increase in fuel costs could impact inflation and the general economic condition in the region, as higher transportation expenses typically lead to increased prices for goods and services. Authorities and regulators are expected to implement measures to ensure pricing transparency in the fuel market to alleviate consumer concerns.
