Fuel Prices in Ukraine Could Spike: Diesel Nears 96 UAH, Gasoline Hits 94 UAH.
Rising Fuel Costs in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: A combination of supply shortages and new oil product contracts may drive up fuel prices in Ukraine. Energy expert Stanislav Ihnatiev warns that diesel could climb to 95–96 hryvnias per liter, while gasoline may reach 92–94 hryvnias per liter. As of March 30, the average price for diesel in Ukraine stood at 81.99 UAH per liter, with A-95 gasoline costing 68.99 UAH per liter.
Supply Agreements and Price Stability
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has secured a one-year diesel supply deal for Ukraine, totaling 7.2 to 7.4 million tons. Ihnatiev also noted that the state-owned company Ukrnafta could demonstrate the ability to keep prices within reach for consumers, remarking:
“Let’s look at the state company Ukrnafta, which clearly shows that cheaper diesel is possible.”
This situation is causing concern among consumers, as rising fuel prices could ripple through other sectors of the economy.
Ukraine’s fuel market now faces fresh challenges that demand attention from both the government and energy firms. Maintaining price stability and ensuring a steady supply of oil products remain pressing issues for consumers and analysts alike. As fuel costs increase, it is crucial for state authorities and companies to find effective solutions to support market stability and safeguard consumer interests.
