Prices for greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine have skyrocketed
The prices for greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine have risen due to the insufficient supply of this product in local greenhouse farms. Many producers have already finished harvesting this crop. Currently, the price of tomatoes is 80-90 UAH/kg, which is 13% higher than last week. This is the highest price for tomatoes in Ukraine in the past 7 years. The selection of tomatoes in the greenhouses is limited, so sellers can raise prices.
Traders have not been able to replace local tomatoes with imported ones, which has led to a 49% increase in prices compared to the 2023 listing. In the future, the main supply in the market will be imported products, mostly from Turkey.
