Russia is Strengthening Its Position in Africa Through Educational and Youth Programs
The Russian Federation is actively expanding its sphere of influence in Africa through educational and youth programs. The main focus is to create a loyal African elite that will support Moscow's interests. This is achieved by providing scholarships for citizens of African countries to study at higher education institutions in Russia at the expense of the state budget.
It is also planned to open Russian language courses and training for teachers at leading universities in Africa. In addition, Russia is actively cooperating with African youth through sports programs, using education and sports to form a new generation of political and managerial personnel who will be loyal to the Kremlin.
Representatives from numerous African countries arrived in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine to participate in the events and express their support.
The Ukrainian Defense Policy Office noted that Russia is strengthening its presence in Africa through educational and youth programs aimed at forming a pro-Moscow African elite. This strategy may influence the political situation in the region and relations with the Russian state in the future.
