Tragedy in La Gomera: car veered off the road and killed a couple near a wine shop.

According to The Sun: A couple tragically died in the Canary Islands after a car hit them near a wine cellar at the famous resort in the Canary Islands.

The emergency service responded to reports of a fatal accident around 7 PM on Sunday near the family winery La Tienda del Vino in La Gomera.

“Two people were sitting on a bench and talking when a car veered off the road and struck them. The man, reportedly the owner of the winery, and a 59-year-old woman died at the scene - the police stated that they could do nothing to prevent the accident.”
