Denmark bans social media for children under 16: what to expect in Ukraine.
Restrictions for children on social media
According to inkorr.com: The Prime Minister expressed the opinion that the main goal of introducing restrictions is to protect children from the negative impact of social media on their mental health and development. It is also important to raise parents' awareness of how their children use the internet and social platforms.
‘We must ensure the safety of our children in the digital world, and this is a top priority for us as a society,’ said Mette Frederiksen.
Establishing restrictions for children under 15 emphasizes the importance of digital safety and the protection of children's rights in the online environment, as well as taking into account family interests in connection with technological progress.
If implemented, these restrictions could significantly change the approach to social media usage among youth. It is important for parents to be active participants in this initiative to jointly monitor the development and impact of the new rules on their children's lives.
