Denmark Backs Moving Ukrainian Defense Production to European Soil.
Denmark’s Support for Relocating Ukrainian Defense Manufacturing
According to Novyny.live: Denmark is backing the relocation of certain Ukrainian defense production facilities to Europe, particularly those involved in manufacturing jet fuel, with a strong emphasis on security. The country is currently working to identify safe locations for moving these Ukrainian defense plants.
In late May 2026, Ukraine proposed to Denmark the creation of a joint anti-ballistic shield, highlighting the growing importance of bilateral defense cooperation. Earlier, in February 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to discuss security issues and military collaboration.
We need to find the right locations. We have already done this with some companies.

He further emphasized that "the main issue is security, because Europe is facing a hybrid war," adding that as a former defense minister, "it is very simple to answer: the priority is security."
Denmark is therefore actively working to establish safe conditions for the transfer of Ukrainian defense production, reflecting a deepening partnership between the two nations amid ongoing security challenges.
The Strategic Importance of This Cooperation
Denmark’s support for moving Ukrainian defense manufacturing to Europe marks a significant step in strengthening military ties between the two countries, especially as regional security threats escalate. Joint initiatives, such as the proposed anti-ballistic shield, demonstrate Ukraine and Denmark’s shared commitment to stability and security in the face of persistent hybrid conflicts. This collaboration could lay the groundwork for further integration of Ukraine’s defense capabilities into European security frameworks.
