According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation has confirmed the removal of a fake X (formerly Twitter) account impersonating Mykhailo Drapatyi. The action came in response to a July 26 alert from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which first flagged the fraudulent profile. Notably, the fake account displayed a blue verification badge, misleadingly suggesting authenticity.

The fraudulent page spread a fabricated announcement claiming the launch of a sweeping audit across all military units—a post that sparked widespread concern. Dmytro Likhoviy, a Ministry representative, explained: “The General Staff recently informed us about the fake Mykhailo Drapatyi account on X.” Both the account and the news it shared have been confirmed as entirely false. As of now, the fake profile is no longer accessible, reflecting swift countermeasures to safeguard the information environment.
