Fraudsters use social networks to deceive citizens
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported a new method of deceiving citizens used by fraudsters during the winter period. One such case was the announcement of the sale of charging stations in the city of Nikopol. The scammers set an attractive condition, where buyers had to make a prepayment of 5000 hryvnias. However, after receiving the money, the perpetrator disappeared, leaving buyers without the product.
Currently, the police have already reported suspicion to the fraudster who applied this scheme. Please be vigilant when shopping online and buy goods only from trusted stores. Also, pay attention to the payment method, it is better to choose payment after receiving the goods. This will help avoid fraud and financial losses.
