An 80-year-old model made it to the finals of the Miss Universe South Korea contest.
80-year-old Choi Sun Hwa may become the oldest contestant in the Miss Universe pageant. She will compete with more than 30 contestants for the right to represent South Korea at the pageant’s final, which will be held in November this year in Mexico. The Miss Universe organization removed age restrictions from 2024, allowing women of any age to participate and lifting the ban on married, pregnant women and mothers. The winner of the contest will be determined through a points system that includes online voting and judges' scores.
Having a beautiful appearance is important, but I think it’s also necessary to be calm in the soul and respect others... said Choi Sun Hwa. - Additionally, you need to think positively. After all, so many people today are set to negativity.
At 72, Choi became a model, and at 74 she made her debut at Seoul Fashion Week. She has appeared in Korean magazines and starred in advertisements for various brands. Ukraine will be represented at the Miss Universe pageant by 21-year-old Alina Ponomarenko, who won the Miss Universe Ukraine contest.
