Driscoll's Visit to Kyiv: What Steps for Peace Will the US Discuss.
According to ТСН: US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll will visit Kyiv in the near future. The main goal of his visit is to accelerate measures necessary to end the war in Ukraine.
As reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, this visit by the American high-ranking official is taking place at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
“There is a good foundation laid in Geneva, and President Zelensky and the entire team in Kyiv are fully committed to further work. Ukraine has never been and will not be an obstacle to peace,” Yermak stated.
Yermak also emphasized that the Ukrainian side is ready for a meeting with the US “thoroughly and promptly.”
US President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding the conclusion of an agreement concerning the war in Ukraine.
Despite positive changes in the negotiation process regarding a new peace agreement between the US and Ukraine, the sides have not yet reached an agreement on three key areas.
Daniel Driscoll's visit is expected to be an important stage in attempts to activate the negotiation process and ensure stability in the region. It is anticipated that this will serve as a platform for discussing further steps towards achieving peace in Ukraine, especially in light of the recent positive developments in dialogue between the countries.
