Wives of Ukrainian ambassadors gathered in Kyiv - what is the goal.
Ukraine's Ambassadors Conference 2025 - details
The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the initiative of the Association of Ukrainian Diplomatic Spouses as part of the annual conference of heads of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions. This is already the second year in a row that the conference unites not only ambassadors but also heads of other foreign institutions. The information was shared by Tetiana Sybiha, the wife of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the head of the Association of Ukrainian Diplomatic Spouses:
'This year, the event will be attended by over 70 participants who arrived from all over the world to participate in the conference. The wives of our ambassadors actively defend Ukraine's interests. They follow the example of the First Lady, who does this voluntarily, without an official assignment. Mrs. Olena has demonstrated how to act to defend national interests.'
According to Tetiana Sybiha, the wives of Ukrainian diplomats have started implementing their own projects, similar to what the First Lady does. They work on various initiatives, such as promoting the Ukrainian language abroad, Crimean Tatar studies, and charity projects to support the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
'The First Lady is an example for us, and the active wives of diplomats also implement their own ideas. They try to be useful and contribute to the country they are in', - summed up Tetiana Sybiha.
Recently, the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhii Tykhyi, stated that the government is preparing for a large-scale turnover of diplomatic personnel, in particular, the replacement of the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States.
During the annual conference of Ukrainian diplomats, the wives of ambassadors gathered together at the Masters' fair, where they exchanged experiences and plans for implementing various projects to support Ukraine abroad. They are actively involved in working for the benefit of the country and the development of diplomatic relations.Read also
