Pay more than 2000 hryvnias: who among pensioners will be affected by the changes.
Starting from 2025, the state will establish additional payments for pensioners affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
This was reported by the head of the pension provision department of the main office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region, Tetiana Koval, in a comment to 'Suspilne'.
According to new rules, non-working pensioners who suffered from Chernobyl and permanently resided in areas of unconditional and voluntary resettlement from April 26, 1986, to January 1, 1993, will receive a monthly supplement of 2361 hryvnias.
The supplement to non-working individuals living in the zone of unconditional mandatory resettlement and in the zone of guaranteed voluntary resettlement is established provided that they resided in these zones as of April 26, 1986, that is, at the Time of the Chernobyl disaster or in the period from April 26, 1986, to January 1, 1993,' Koval explained.
Payments will be made during the period of martial law, and the corresponding funds have already been reserved in the budget for 2025. However, starting January 1, the supplement will be canceled for pensioners who left the 'Chernobyl' zones during the specified period or changed their place of residence. Demographic registry authorities will conduct the relevant verification of supplement recipients.
