DTEK invests another €450 million in the construction of the Tiligul Wind Farm.
DTEK company of Rinat Akhmetov announced that it plans to invest €450 million in the expansion of the Tiligul Wind Farm in Mykolaiv region. The number of installed turbines will increase from 19 to 83, and the capacity will grow from 114 to 500 MW. The total investment amount will be €650 million. This project will become the largest wind farm in Eastern Europe in the last ten years.
The construction deal is supported by banks, including Danske Bank, which will provide €370 million in loan funds. The rest of the project's financing will be provided from DTEK's own resources. The new wind farm will have an annual electricity production capacity of 1.7 TWh.
Rinat Akhmetov emphasized that this investment contributes to creating a future of economic growth and ensures the energy security of Ukraine. The president of Vestas also expressed support for this project, which will help strengthen the country's energy security.
In addition to Tiligul, DTEK also plans to build a wind farm in Poltava region and expand its renewable energy portfolio in Ukraine to 2 GW by 2030.
