Unified Register of Military Personnel: What Data Will the New Database Contain.
A Unified State Register of Military Personnel is Being Created
In Ukraine, a Unified State Register of Military Personnel will be established in the near future, which will include data about family members and digitized facial images. Bill No. 12066 was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on December 18.
This was reported by Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization. She also noted that the register will include data about officers of the SBU and Ukrainian intelligence.
'254 votes for the draft law on the Unified Register of Military Personnel! Adopted! Now only the president's signature remains. We will start working on creating the register. This will help implement an ecosystem with convenient services for defenders. And most importantly – to achieve our goal of 90% digital services for the military,' Chernogorenko commented.
Chernogorenko noted that the register will be created with funds from Ukraine's foreign partners, including international organizations, as well as from sources not prohibited by law.
Furthermore, each military personnel will receive their own Military ID, which will allow for their identification and simplify the connection between registers for the necessary services. Exchange between external registers will be conducted using the taxpayer identification number.
'The register will be securely protected,' Chernogorenko promised.
