On Monday, February 24, on the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Eiffel Tower was illuminated in yellow-blue colors. This was reported by the 'Glavkom' website, citing social media.

It is noted that the illumination was held to support Ukraine in the presence of French deputies, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the Ukrainian community.

In addition, the buildings of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Europe, and the city halls of several French cities were illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Hostomel and Moschun thwarted Russia's plans for a quick capture of Kyiv. He noted that the way to Kyiv was halted due to the activities of the National Guard and the ongoing struggle in Hostomel. Additionally, Moschun was also a critical point that the enemies needed to pass to get closer to the capital.

Speaking about Russia's plans, Budanov noted that he had anticipated the routes of the offensive and the sequence of actions of the enemy three months before the invasion began.
