BEB launches the Index for Economic Security of Regions: What changes for businesses

According to ТСН: Olexandr Tsyvinskyi, Director of the Office for Economic Security of Ukraine, continues his work visits to the regions of the country. The main goal of these trips is to create a new model of interaction between the state, the economy, and law enforcement agencies, as reported by the BEB press service.

The trips to the regions of Odesa, Volyn, and Vinnytsia show that these visits are part of a systematic reform of the office and are not simple one-time actions.

Economic Shield and Regional Monitoring

During the October visit to Odesa, Tsyvinskyi presented the national project “Economic Shield,” within the framework of which BEB is launching the Index for Economic Security of Regions. This tool will help assess the conditions in each region, identify key risks, and respond promptly to threats to economic stability.

“Our goal is to create a system in which businesses do not feel pressure but experience a partnership with the state. Equal playing fields are a guarantee for the development of entrepreneurship and trust,” emphasized the Director of BEB at that time.

Volyn: Dialogue with the Economy

During the working visit to Volyn, the head of the office focused on the importance of communication with representatives of the local economy. Participation in the meeting allowed for discussing a number of important issues, particularly in the agricultural sector, construction, light industry, and the transparency of tender processes.

Tsyvinskyi emphasized that the main task of BEB in the regions is to gather information about problems “from the bottom” and not to develop solutions without feedback.

Vinnytsia: New Approaches to Economic Security

During the visit to the Vinnytsia region, Tsyvinskyi met with regional leaders, security forces, and entrepreneurs.

The office places great importance on analytics in the fight against the shadow economy, the implementation of digital tools, and the prevention of economic crimes.

BEB emphasizes that regional visits have a common strategic goal – to abandon the “punishment model” in favor of an analytical approach, where the prevention of crimes is at the forefront.

“We are building a system in which companies compete in efficiency and creativity, not in any connections. If a company operates within the law, it has nothing to fear,” Tsyvinskyi emphasized repeatedly during the meetings in the regions.

According to BEB, regional trips will continue to strengthen economic security, increase budgetary resources, and promote trust between the economy and state structures.

These measures highlight the efforts of the Office for Economic Security to change the approaches to cooperation with the economy and ensure stability in the country's economy. The continuation of such initiatives can have a positive effect on the legal certainty of businesses and the business environment in general.
