Fraudulent Grain Sale Scheme Exposed

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian law enforcement has uncovered a scheme involving the fictitious sale of corn grain worth 63 million hryvnias, orchestrated by a former parliament member and Ukraine's ex-Minister of Agricultural Policy, Ruslan Kravchenko, in collusion with officials from an agricultural enterprise in the Kyiv region. This scheme involved drafting a contract for the sale of 7,000 tons of grain, even though the stated grain was never actually present. For context, Ukraine's agricultural sector has long faced scrutiny over corruption, and this case highlights ongoing transparency issues.

On March 27, it was reported that the actions of the scheme's organizers caused losses totaling 63.7 million hryvnias to the affected party. During the investigation, authorities conducted 26 searches, gathering evidence that confirmed the criminal activities of those involved. The grain elevator implicated in the case has a technical capacity of 60,000 tons.
