The Ukrainian State Service for Food Safety identified dangerous products in 2024
According to research results, the most dangerous turned out to be toys with toxic substances or small parts that may pose a danger to children. Electrical and electronic equipment was also mentioned in the system, which could lead to fires or electric shocks, as well as lighting devices that do not meet radiation standards, reports the press service of the State Consumer Service of Ukraine.
Throughout 2024, the State Consumer Service conducted over 900 quality inspections and identified more than 746 thousand lamps with improper radiation and over 200 thousand low-voltage products that did not meet safety requirements and could pose a threat to consumer health.
'Products that do not meet established requirements are considered high-risk. This particularly applies to goods for vulnerable categories of consumers, such as children, pregnant women, elderly people, as well as products that contain hazardous chemical or biological substances,' the State Consumer Service emphasizes.
