British Gas warns millions of consumers: 7 tips for heating savings.

British Gas notes that most people turn on their heating by the end of this month, so it’s important to take some measures now.
British Gas has outlined several tips to consider, including bleeding the radiators GETTYThe company, which serves around seven million customers, reported that people usually turn on their boilers during the first cold snap of September.
At the same time, many begin turning on their heating at the end of October or when the temperature drops below 9°C for four consecutive days.
If you, like most, haven’t used heating during the summer, you may face unpleasant surprises if there are issues with your boiler.
British Gas reported that last winter, over 1.2 million customers contacted its engineers to repair broken boilers.
There’s a chance your heating may simply not work efficiently, and you could be unconsciously losing heat in your home.
“Now that summer is over, many people are thinking about turning on their heating for the first time since last winter, and this is when unforeseen issues can arise,” says Soni Solanki, a service and repair engineer at British Gas.
“Keeping your boiler in good working order is key to ensuring it runs smoothly, and a few simple changes in your home can greatly impact your comfort and energy bills.”
