The EU allocated over 4 billion euros to Ukraine: what the funds will be used for.
According to FREEДOM: European countries have shown support for Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian aggression, providing assistance to refugees and military support. Recently, they decided to support the Ukrainian flag as a symbol of solidarity. This was reported by the special correspondent of the FREEДОМ channel in Europe, Vitaliy Syzov.
In Brussels on August 23, on National Flag Day, the Ukrainian flag was raised as a symbol of support. The event was attended by European Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius.
“In 1939, there was an agreement between two dictators - Stalin and Hitler - regarding the division of Europe. Today, we must take a lesson from history. There should no longer be a division of Europe into spheres of influence. Every country has the right to choose its own fate. This is an important lesson that we must remember today,” emphasized Kubilius.
The head of the European Parliament delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Serhiy Lahodin, also participated in raising the Ukrainian flag. He confirmed support for providing material assistance and using the proceeds from frozen Russian assets.
“The European Parliament supports this process together with European countries and allocates funds for humanitarian, financial, and military assistance to Ukraine.”
European countries support Ukraine both in terms of humanitarian aid and in the field of financial and military assistance, considering this essential for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
