Ukraine and Middle Eastern Nations Forge Security Partnership

According to UATV: The European Union is advising Middle Eastern countries to collaborate with Ukraine on defense measures against drones. This recommendation was announced on March 5th ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers. The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, emphasized the critical importance of maintaining dialogue between Gulf nations and Ukraine.

Kallas noted that a key topic under discussion involves drone interception, an area where Ukraine is prepared to offer assistance.

“One of the issues concerns drone interceptors, which, as you know, Ukraine is also offering,” she said.

“We are telling the Gulf countries about the need to maintain contacts with Ukraine and President Zelenskyy for cooperation.”

Kallas reported on telephone conversations with leaders from the Persian Gulf, who were reportedly surprised by the extent of the support Ukraine could provide in this field.

“I have also had telephone conversations with leaders of the Gulf countries, and they were really surprised by how much Ukraine is helping them in this regard,” she concluded.

The Strategic Value of Cooperation

Therefore, cooperation between Ukraine and Middle Eastern nations could become a significant step in combating threats associated with drones.

This initiative highlights the strategic importance of security collaboration between Ukraine and the Middle East, particularly given the growing global threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles.
