Estonia is ready to participate in a peacekeeping operation in Ukraine
According to FREEДOM: Estonia confirms its readiness to join the peacekeeping operation in Ukraine by sending one company of troops. This was announced by Prime Minister Kristen Mihal during a meeting with the head of the Finnish government, Petteri Orpo, in Tallinn.
Kristen Mihal noted that it is important to ensure stable peace in Ukraine through strong security guarantees to prevent further aggression from Russia. He expressed hope that other countries would also join these efforts.
'The prerequisite for a just and lasting peace is strong security guarantees for Ukraine, so that Russia cannot even think about repeating aggression. Now we expect other countries to contribute as well,' emphasized Kristen Mihal.
Earlier, the head of the Estonian government, Kristen Mihal, stated that Estonia is ready to send a military contingent to Ukraine as part of a 'coalition of the willing'.
Estonia's support in peacekeeping operations in Ukraine is an important signal of support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, as well as a demonstration of solidarity with the Ukrainian people in resolving the conflict in the east of the country.
