Evacuation Ordered in Kharkiv Region Amid Intensified Russian Threats
According to Espreso.tv: Authorities in the Kharkiv region have expanded the mandatory evacuation zone due to the growing danger of Russian attacks. The decision, made by the Regional Defense Council, calls for the relocation of 7,157 individuals, including 1,702 children and 311 people with limited mobility.
The following settlements are included in the evacuation plan:
- Zolochiv
- Pysarivka
- Huriv
- Lemishchyne
- Malyzhine
- Merlo
- Morozova Dolyna
To ensure the safety of residents, temporary housing has been arranged, along with humanitarian, medical, and legal support services.
Security Situation Worsens in the Region
The security situation in the area remains critical. On June 1, the Russian military carried out 91 airstrikes, dropping 317 guided bombs. The use of 9,007 kamikaze drones added another layer of threat. Additionally, 3,342 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions were recorded, 59 of which involved multiple rocket launchers.
This expansion of the mandatory evacuation zone underscores the deteriorating security conditions in Kharkiv Oblast, requiring urgent measures to protect civilians. Government agencies are working to provide adequate conditions for evacuees, highlighting the vital role of humanitarian aid during wartime. It also reflects the broader strategic situation in the region, where intensified military actions by Russian forces pose a significant risk to local residents.
