Evacuation from Frontline Areas: 279 Thousand People Await Evacuation.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine continues its large-scale evacuation of the population from frontline areas. Since the beginning of June, over 119 thousand people have been evacuated through special transit centers, but the need for evacuation remains significant.
Need for Evacuation
During a briefing, Oleksiy Ryabikin, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, announced that 279 thousand individuals require evacuation, including 15 thousand children and 11.5 thousand persons with disabilities.
'Since June 1st, 119,969 people have been evacuated through 20 transit centers set up in Ukraine, including 14,064 children and almost 4 thousand representatives of mobility-impaired groups,' Ryabikin specified.
Conditions for Evacuees
To accommodate evacuees in Ukraine, 1111 temporary living places have been set up, adapted for people with disabilities. Currently, more than 80 thousand internally displaced persons reside in these facilities.
The large-scale evacuation is prompted by constant shelling of frontline areas by Russian occupiers, which poses a serious threat to the lives of civilians.
An active evacuation operation in Ukraine continues to provide support to those in danger due to shelling. In addition to those already evacuated, many more individuals who require rescue exist, and the government continues to work on this issue.
This situation highlights the importance of ongoing support and the organization of effective evacuation to protect civilians. The Ukrainian authorities are focused on ensuring stability and security for those most in need in the face of ongoing threats from the front.
