Compensation from the company 'SURYS'
According to inkorr.com: The Government of Ukraine received 3.37 million euros from the company 'SURYS' as compensation for involvement in a corruption scheme at the State Enterprise 'Polygraphic Combinat Ukraine'. This issue was addressed by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), culminating in a settlement agreement confirmed by a French court.
During the work of the joint investigative group, contracts with the Polygraphic Combinat's partners were examined, resulting in the discovery of violations. According to the agreement, the French company compensated Ukraine for the damages caused and paid a fine for participating in the corruption scheme.
The cooperation between SAP, NABU, and the French National Financial Prosecutor's Office has become a striking example of international resolution of corruption cases that helps protect Ukraine's interests in foreign courts.
This case underscores the importance of international cooperation in the fight against corruption. Justice concerns not only the national level but also requires active actions from international institutions to restore trust in Ukrainian authorities and ensure effective mechanisms for financial control. The funds received can be directed towards addressing other urgent needs of Ukrainian society.
