FREEDOM TV Launches Mobile Application

According to UATV: Ukraine's FREEDOM TV channel has released a free mobile application for Android and iOS devices, providing access to its live broadcast and a library of on-demand content. The app, developed by the state-owned 'Multimedia Platform of International Broadcasting of Ukraine,' is now available for download on Google Play and the App Store. This launch enables viewers to watch the FREEDOM TV channel and its FAST channels directly on their smartphones. The app is particularly significant as it offers an alternative way to access Ukrainian news and perspectives in regions where traditional media may be restricted.

The application is completely free and does not require any user registration or login. Currently, the app features programs such as:

  • Special Report
  • In Isolation
  • News of Free Nations
  • Tribunal
  • Fedya, Wild Game
  • Hybrid Special Operations
  • Strategy of Freedom

Expanding Content Accessibility

FREEDOM TV, which is part of the state enterprise 'Multimedia Platform of International Broadcasting of Ukraine,' is already distributed via satellite, cable networks, DTH, IPTV, and OTT platforms. Yuliya Byn, a representative of the enterprise, stated:

'We are committed to making our international broadcasting content as accessible as possible across various platforms. The mobile app under the FREEDOM brand is another effective way to stay connected with our audience and convey the truth about Ukraine to diverse viewers worldwide. In today's context, it is also a crucial tool to provide access to our broadcast and content where conventional platforms are blocked or operate with restrictions.' - Yuliya Byn

Therefore, the launch of the FREEDOM mobile app represents a vital step in ensuring information access for various audiences, especially under conditions where access to traditional media resources is limited. This initiative underscores the efforts of the state enterprise to provide crucial news and programming for Ukrainians who may face difficulties accessing information through standard channels. It is also relevant for Ukrainians living abroad or in regions where information about events in Ukraine is restricted or censored.
