Watch seals play and explore the dunes on Winterton beach

Don't miss the golden stretch of Winterton beach, just a five-minute walk away.

We enjoyed watching the seals play while walking through the dunes.

Within an hour's walk or a ten-minute drive, you can see more seals as well as hundreds of pups from November to January at Horsey Gap.

A boat trip with Ross’ Wildlife in the less crowded part of Norfolk Broads, just 15 minutes away, will be a fun and educational experience.

You'll see many birds and insects, including rare dragonflies if you're lucky.

Single trips cost £12 for adults, £9 for children, and £1 for dogs.

Village Chippy is just behind the fence, and it’s impossible not to catch the scent of crispy fish and chips for £12.50.

On the next street is Fisherman’s Return, where you'll be welcomed in a cozy bar with home-cooked meals such as fish pie for £17.95 and delicious lasagna for children for £7.50.

For breakfast, Poppy’s Tea Room, located in the Post Office, offers tasty sausage and egg burgers for £5.25, and cappuccino for £3.25. And of course, here are the best village cakes, including Nutella tiffin for £3.75 at Seal View Cafe.

After a sumptuous lunch?

Try delicious Norfolk lobster in garlic butter and Koffman fries, then finish with dessert — coffee and strawberry crème brûlée at the historic gastropub The Swan at Ingham. Three courses will cost about £36.

BeWilderwood, just 25 minutes away, will be a great entertainment with wooden houses, sky mazes, and slides.

A magical boat ride will delight little ones, while swings for three and a zipline make this place popular for both children and sprightly grandparents.

Or visit the cozy Redmire Village Pub, where the beef and ale pudding (£17.50) will warm your heart.

Would you like to try local beer? Wensleydale Brewery beer sandwiches made with Game Keeper biscuits for £3.50 in the beer room is the perfect end to a walk.

You can also join a workshop for £13 per person.

Don't forget to explore the medieval ruins of Bolton Castle, just a 12-minute drive away.

Built in the 14th century and still family-owned, here you will find demonstrations of birds of prey, archery, and pig feeding, along with stunning gardens with a magical maze.
