Macron announced a new coalition for Ukraine's security guarantees.
According to ТСН: French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of a working group to coordinate and finalize security guarantees for Ukraine after the 'coalition of the willing' meeting.
The group will be led by France and the United Kingdom, with Turkey, which plays an important role in maritime issues, and the United States also included.
"So we decided to create a working group tomorrow, led by France and the United Kingdom, with close involvement from Turkey, which plays a key role in the maritime dimension, and for the first time – with the participation of the USA," Macron reported.
According to the president, the coming days will allow for a clear definition of each country's contribution, which will help finalize these security guarantees. The working group will start its activities tomorrow.
Prospects for an agreement
U.S. President Donald Trump also expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement related to the war in Ukraine. He made this statement during the traditional turkey pardon ceremony on Thanksgiving Day in the White House Rose Garden.
Meeting between Zelensky and Trump
Next week, Volodymyr Zelensky may personally visit Washington to discuss with Donald Trump the most sensitive points of the new peace plan.
