The Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced the conduct of an audit of the investigations by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. However, this only concerns cases that have been ongoing for several years.

'I will say right away that we will not physically be able to audit all criminal proceedings. I will only deal with those criminal cases that have been investigated for one or two years or more.'

This information was provided by Ruslan Kravchenko during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the investigation of possible corruption facts in law enforcement agencies and courts.

He noted that the 'PrivatBank' case has already been taken under review and will be thoroughly analyzed regarding its effectiveness.

'If prosecutors are actively working on the case and are moving towards making a procedural decision, there is no reason to take the case due to ineffectiveness.'

It is also worth noting that some members of parliament are preparing to submit requests to the Constitutional Court to cancel restrictions for NABU and SAP, while EU countries are calling on the Ukrainian parliament to reconsider this decision.

Summary

The Prosecutor General announced an audit of the proceedings of NABU and SAP, emphasizing prolonged investigations. At the same time, he stressed the importance of not interfering in cases where active work is already underway and a procedural decision has been appointed.
