Zelenskyy Appoints Intelligence Chief Budanov to Lead New Business Support Council.
Updated Membership of the Entrepreneurship Support Council
According to Novyny.live: Kyrylo Budanov has been appointed to head the Council for Entrepreneurship Support under a decree signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This decision is part of Directive No. 268/2026, which also amends an earlier decree (No. 421/2025) from June 27, 2025. The move signals a shift in how Ukraine aims to bolster its private sector amid ongoing economic pressures.
New Appointments to the Council
Under the restructured Council, Larysa Yaremchuk has been named its secretary. Additionally, Iryna Mudra has been appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, while Oleksii Sobolev takes on the role of Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture. These changes are designed to strengthen government support for entrepreneurship and create more favorable conditions for business growth across the country.
The reshuffled council membership reflects a broader effort to improve the business climate and drive economic recovery.
Budanov's appointment, alongside these other key roles, underscores the state's heightened focus on fostering entrepreneurship as Ukraine navigates significant economic challenges.
At the same time, the structural adjustments suggest the government intends to engage more closely with the business community to attract investment and launch new initiatives.
