Romanian Minister’s Remarks on Support for Ukraine

According to UATV: Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu has called on the European Union to ramp up pressure against Russia by targeting additional revenues from oil sales. She emphasized the urgency of fulfilling the EU’s commitment to provide a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine.

According to Țoiu, 'the 90 billion euro loan must be disbursed without delay.'

Romania is actively backing the EU’s obligations on this matter. Țoiu stated: 'We need to do even more to heighten the pressure.' Her remarks address not only financial aid for Ukraine but also the necessity of maintaining sanctions against Russia, which have been extended for another six months.

United Front Among European Leaders

French President Emmanuel Macron has also reinforced this stance, confirming that 'the decision to grant Ukraine a 90 billion euro loan must be implemented.' These statements reflect a unified position among European leaders in supporting Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The comments from Romania’s foreign minister and France’s president underscore growing cohesion within the EU on backing Ukraine during its conflict with Russia. Financial assistance and the continuation of sanctions are central to the EU’s strategy to increase pressure on the Kremlin and ensure regional stability.

This coordinated approach could shape future EU decisions on energy policy and economic sanctions against Russia.
