Therefore, on August 16, 2024, Orthodox Christians and Greek Catholics celebrate the Third Saviour - Walnut.

As for the name Walnut Saviour, it is explained by the fact that at the end of summer, walnuts are being harvested for the winter. Also during this period, the harvest is finished, ears are harvested from the new harvest to make fresh bread (hence another name for the holiday - Bread Saviour).
