Russian troops are stepping up defensive measures in the Black Sea

Russian occupation forces have stepped up defensive measures in the Black Sea, particularly near Yevpatoria, setting up anti-amphibious barriers and mining the waters. This information is reported by the Telegram channel 'Crimean Wind'.

According to the latest data, the Russians have begun dropping special barriers similar to 'hedgehogs' into the sea to counter possible Ukrainian amphibious operations. Additionally, the occupiers are actively setting up mines in the waters of the Black Sea as part of their strategy to strengthen the defense of the Crimean coast.

They say (Russians - 'Glavred') among themselves that Ukraine already has underwater drones

As reported, the defensive 'hedgehogs' are manufactured at the 'Zatoka' plant, transported on barges and pontoons, and then lowered into the water using a floating crane.

These actions indicate the Russians are preparing for a possible attempt by Ukrainian forces to launch an offensive or landing in the region. Defensive measures include not only mining the coastal waters but also increasing military presence and fortifications near key ports in Crimea, including Yevpatoria.

These steps by the occupiers are a response to successful operations by Ukrainian forces, including strikes on Russian military facilities in Crimea and the destruction of military equipment.

Recall that earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated that Crimea could be placed under temporary UN control to hold a legitimate referendum there.

Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly rejected the proposal of Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to place Crimea under a UN mandate to hold an 'honest referendum' there.

By the way, the Defense Forces could liberate Crimea in just two weeks. However, they need certain means for this. This opinion was expressed by artillery reconnaissance officer and military expert Arty Green.
